The Quantitative Bone Ultrasound Academy (Q~BA), i.e., a new academic body under the International Bone Ultrasound Society (BoneUS), whose mission is to foster the development of early-career researchers and advance the field of quantitative bone ultrasound, has been formed. Q~BA provides a professional community for networking, mentorship, and collaboration, offering educational opportunities through seminars, online forums, and biennial meetings. The academy seeks to create an inclusive and supportive training environment that will prepare the next generation of quantitative bone ultrasound researchers
The new book “Quantification of Biophysical Parameters in Medical Imaging” by Ingolf Sack and Tobias Schaeffter offers a comprehensive compendium of physical equations for image reconstruction and motion coding in medical imaging. Material properties of soft tissue are discussed as well as their quantification using imaging measurement techniques. Another part describes biophysics-based approaches used in quantitative medical imaging.
Prof. Raum and his team have contributed a chapter on quantitative bone ultrasound imaging. Click Here
