Ultrasonic assessment of children’s bone in Japan

Doshisha Univ., OYO Electric and Kyoto prefecture univ. of medicine (Japan) are involved in a project which final aim is the prevention of bone fragility. Researchers are committed to provide advice on life style and obtain data on the bone health of children. Children (aged from 12 to 18) in more than 10 schools near Kyoto have been involved. The objective is to obtain ultrasonic indicators (Otani 2009, Mano 2015) of bone health in more than 1800 children.
